Today, we will learn about how to apply for KEPCO residential energy cashback and check electricity bill refund.
▩ What is KEPCO Residential Energy Cash Bag? This is a business that calculates the amount and reduction rate of electricity usage for customers who use residential electricity and provides refunds in the form of electricity bill deductions.
Today, I received information about a campaign to improve energy consumption efficiency from KEPCO via KakaoTalk.
KEPCO’s residential energy cashback project was implemented on May 16, 2023, and was an event that was underway ahead of reaching 1 million households.
On the other hand, it is unfortunate that there are more than 10 million households that have not yet applied.
The event below will be held until July 14th, so why not take advantage of this opportunity?
First of all, you might be curious. So how much cashback do you get?
I applied immediately after the implementation of the project on a monthly basis, and received a refund of 17,620 won in the form of a deduction for the past six months as shown below.
It costs about 35,000 won per year.
All you have to do is apply once and the electricity bill will be automatically deducted, so there is no reason not to do so.!! You need to save on living expenses!!
As you can see, the difference in payment amount from 0 won to 8,300 won is due to the difference in savings rate and amount.
If the savings rate is less than 3%, cashback will not be paid.
KEPCO’s residential energy cashback payment was calculated based on basic and differential cashback, but starting from 2024, only differential is calculated.
(Existing) 2 types of cashback until 23 years
Basic cashback: paid compared to participants in the same region
Differential cashback: Paid compared to the savings rate of the household over the past two years.
(Current) Starting from January 24, it is calculated as follows.
Differential cashback: Minimum savings rate 3%~30%, 30~100 won per 1kWh
3~5%: 30 won/kWh
5~10%: 60 won/kWh
10~20%: 80 won/kWh
20~30%: 100 won/kWh
If 83kWh was saved at a 24.8% reduction rate like in December, 100 won x 83 (saving amount) = 8,300 won cashback.
