However, if you try to use the current Hanmail shortcut, it appears as Daum Mail (daum.net)mail.daum.net, which may be confusing. Now, there is no way to access it as easily as before, but you can simply run the Hanmail shortcut using the desktop or favorites.

The Hanmail shortcut service is currently being operated through Daum Mail’s mail.daum.net. As Daum merged with Kakao, a big change occurred in Hanmail. Instead of connecting to the old domain hanmail.net, you can change it to Daum Mail mail.daum.net and use it only from that address.

1. Log in to your Kakao account at the following portal site.

5. Would you like to create a shortcut? Click the Create button with the message.
6. Once the Hanmail (daum) shortcut icon is created on the desktop, you can directly access Hanmail from the desktop without opening the browser.

Daum Hanmail Kakao integration
Daum Hanmail’s operator was Daum Communications, but on May 26, 2014, Daum Communications and Kakao merged. Nominally, Daum was to acquire Kakao, but since the actual largest shareholder after the merger is Kakao, it can be viewed as if Kakao has acquired Daum.
You can easily use various services of Daum and Kakao with one account. Starting October 1, 2022, the login function will be unified with Kakao Account, and we announced it a year in advance to minimize inconvenience to existing users.
