While using the Samsung Card, I convert the Samsung Card points I received by participating in various events into cash. When converting to cash, I change it to Moni Money once and then apply for cash conversion. However, I am not familiar with this method and it is a bit complicated, so today I will learn how to cash out Samsung Card points and convert them into cash.
1. Card point status
By card company, the most points accrued in the first half of 2023 were Hana Card (KRW 648 billion), followed by Shinhan Card (KRW 539.9 billion), Hyundai Card (KRW 504.7 billion), and KB Kookmin Card (KRW 302.1 billion).
And the amount of point usage was in the following order: Hana Card (KRW 656.9 billion), Shinhan Card (KRW 522.6 billion), KB Kookmin Card (KRW 299.9 billion), and Hyundai Card (KRW 287.1 billion). The largest amount lost was Hyundai Card (KRW 11.3 billion), Shinhan Card (KRW 10.5 billion), KB Kookmin Card (KRW 6.7 billion), and Samsung Card (KRW 6.4 billion). BC Card recorded the highest ratio of accrued to extinguished amount at 22.8%, followed by Woori Card (3.5%), Samsung Card (2.3%), and Hyundai Card (2.2%).
You can use points in more ways on individual card company websites. You can pay card bills or annual fees with accumulated points, and depending on the card product, you can also convert airline mileage, exchange foreign currency, or invest in stocks.
But no matter what, cash is best. Since I currently mainly use Samsung Card, let’s take a closer look at how to cash out Samsung Card.

2. How to cash out and convert Samsung Card points
▶ Run the Samsung Card app and check your points
After logging in to the Samsung Card app, touch “All” at the bottom right and access the “Points Owned” page in the benefits section.
▶ Check your points and convert to money money
Check the Samsung Card points you currently have and touch “Convert Money Money” at the bottom of the page.
▶ Apply for Moni Money conversion
Enter the amount of Samsung Card points you wish to convert to money money and click the “Complete Application” button at the bottom. Money money is similar to cyber money, but you can first convert it to this and then exchange it 1:1 with cash later.
▶ Monimo app → Access Monimo money withdrawal screen
Once you have converted your Samsung Card points to Monimo Money, run the app called “Monimo.”
When you run the Monimo app, you can see the cash points called “Monimo Money” at the top, just click here.
Touch the “Withdrawal” button to the right of the money money amount.
▶ Apply for withdrawal
Now we are there. Finally, enter the amount you want to withdraw and click the “Withdraw” button at the bottom, and the cash will be immediately deposited into your designated bank account.
When using the Samsung Card, be sure to cash out your points. In times like these where you need to save every penny, it’s a small thing, but it makes you feel better, even if only for a moment.
