How to apply for ARS:
If you open a securities account at a Korea Investment & Securities affiliated bank, a separate ARS application is not required.
If you open a securities account in person, you must visit the branch and fill out a service application form.
ARS transaction password registration follows the following procedures.
Call ARS at 1544-5000 or 1588-0012.
Select number 5 (other services such as accident reporting and payment suspension) in the ARS guidance message.
Select number 2 (ARS transaction password registration and change)
Select number 1 (ARS transaction password registration)
Enter securities account number or financial product account number
Enter the password you want to use
Re-enter password
ARS transaction password registration completed
ARS available times:
Agent connection: Business days 08:00 ~ 18:00, system 07:30 ~ 19:00
Saturdays/Holidays: 24 hours (only accident reporting and payment suspension work available)
Bank transfer: 00:10 ~ 23:40 (Bank transfer is temporarily suspended from 23:40 to 00:10 on business days/Saturdays/public holidays)
ARS transaction password registration/change: 24 hours
Loss and accident reporting service: 24 hours (a counselor can be contacted)
Precautions when using ARS
In case of ARS transaction password error or loss of existing password, renewal of contract is required.
Non-contracted transfers to other financial institutions and transfers between accounts that require a security card or OTP.
The use of some ARS services may be restricted when using a public phone or a call-free phone.
