청년몽땅정보통The Seoul Metropolitan Government’s youth policy comprehensive platform “Youth All Information” exceeded 30,000 average daily visitors just one month after its opening. This is the result of garnering high interest and response from young people by collecting and providing all about 2,000 youth policies scattered across the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the central government.

「All Youth Information Source」 is a comprehensive youth policy platform opened by the Seoul Metropolitan Government on Thursday, April 14th to increase policy accessibility for young people. 「All Youth Information Source」 not only allows customized searches for youth policies, but also provides information to the youth public. Young people in Seoul are actively using it as they can apply for, receive, and process transportation expenses support, Seoul Young Tech, and youth allowances.

Previously, a website called the Seoul Youth Portal had been operated, but it had the limitation of providing policy information centered on Seoul’s youth policies. Accordingly, the city of Seoul has opened a new platform that comprehensively provides youth policies promoted by the city as well as central government and autonomous district policies. Prior to the opening, the Seoul Metropolitan Government signed a business agreement with the Korea Employment Information Service on November 1 last year to link and provide youth policy information of the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the central government through the OPEN API method.

In January of this year, before the opening of 「Youth All Information」, the average number of visitors per day was around 4,740, but it increased by about 553% just one month after opening (30,949 as of May 16).

Compared to last year, the number of visitors increased significantly. Last year, the average number of visitors per day was 7,800, while the average number of daily visitors in April, when All Youth Information Center was opened, was 21,037 (about 170% ↑), exceeding 30,000 in just one month after opening.

As a result, it ranked 3rd in terms of number of visitors among 134 homepages operated by Seoul City. This is an increase of 9 places compared to the previous website, Seoul Youth Portal, which ranked 12th as of 2021, and is the highest ranking for a website by policy field.

The number of members who set up ‘user interest information’, which serves as basic data for preemptively delivering customized information to prevent young people from not knowing about the existence of the policy or failing to apply due to missing the timing, exceeded 50,000 in just one month. The city of Seoul plans to send customized policy information according to each individual’s interests through text messages based on established interests such as employment, housing, and education, leading to applications. Additionally, an event will be held in June to encourage more young people to select information of interest so that they can receive policy information in a timely manner.

Kim Cheol-hee, head of the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s Future Youth Planning Division, said, “We were able to confirm that there is a lot of desire among young people to obtain customized policy information through the high response to information from all youth.” He added, “AI will enable ‘policy shopping’ by benchmarking private platforms in the future. “We will develop it to the level of a one-stop platform,” he said.
