Free wheelchair rental – community service center
The method of renting a wheelchair at community centers and community offices may vary depending on the local government. First, contact the community service center in the area where you live, and then check if the local government operates a wheelchair rental service.

After visiting the community center, you can rent a wheelchair after filling out the application form given by the staff in charge at the Social Welfare Department and checking your ID. You can either drag your wheelchair or fold it up and bring it to your car.
The free rental period for each community center may vary, but it is usually available for a week to a month. An extension may be possible, but you need to contact the community center and check whether it is extended.

Office workers (dependents), local subscribers, and medical benefit recipients subscribed to the National Health Insurance can use the free wheelchair rental service from the National Health Insurance Corporation.

Wheelchair rentals are also available at the Welfare Center for the Disabled for a short period of time. Please call the nearest welfare center for the disabled near your house to check if rental is possible.
