청년구직활동지원금What is youth allowance?
We provide activity support funds (500,000 won per month for up to 6 months) to unemployed or short-term working youth aged 19 to 34 living in Seoul, and continue to link programs tailored to the needs of youth, such as economic counseling, psychological counseling, and employment competency training. This is a supported project.
Those eligible for support
Applicant: Unemployed young people who have graduated from high school or college (graduate school) and reside in Seoul according to their resident registration.
Age requirements: 19 to 34 years old (those with a birth date between June 1, 1988 and June 30, 2004)
Income requirements: 150% or less of median income
Other requirements: Only unemployed people can apply. However, short-term workers of less than 30 hours a week or less than 3 months can apply.
※ However, it is only recognized when separate documentary evidence (e.g. employment contract, retirement certificate, etc.) is submitted to verify working hours of less than 30 hours per week or less than 3 months.
※ Those excluded from application
① Young people who have received Seoul Youth Allowance from 2017 to 2022
② University (graduate) students/students on leave of absence
③ Workers (employed) who work more than 30 hours a week and whose contract period exceeds 3 months
④ Entrepreneurs with income above the minimum wage by 2023
⑤ Basic livelihood recipients (recipients of livelihood, medical care, housing, and education) and the next lower class.
⑥ Those who are participating in similar government and local government projects during the same period
*Similar projects: National Employment Support System (Type 1, Type 2), Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Youth Monthly Rent Support, Unemployment Benefits, Youth Tomorrow Filling Credit, Seoul City Hope Double Youth Account, Seoul City Youth Rent Support
**In 2023, those who have a history of participating in the National Employment Support System Type 1 will not be able to participate in the youth allowance within the year.

Documents to be submitted:
① (Required) 1 copy of graduation certificate or certificate of highest level of education
*Prospective graduates must submit a transcript to prove completion of graduation credits as a substitute document.
② (Optional) 1 copy of employment contract *Submit only for short-term workers

ㆍ[Payment] Complete activity record on the 25th to 30th of every month > Youth allowance paid on the 29th of every month
* If the 29th is a weekend/public holiday, payment will be made on the previous weekday (Friday). * If necessary, you may be requested to submit cash usage details/proof of short-term work during the activity record preparation period.
How to use
– The principle is to use a check card, and it can be used freely within the scope consistent with business purposes.
* If it is unavoidable to use cash (bank transfer, cash withdrawal, etc.), supporting documents (cash receipt, bank transfer, etc.) must be kept individually, and if the city requests submission, explanatory materials must be submitted.
※ When monitoring cash, we will contact you individually and request submission ** In principle, the cash allowance of 500,000 won per month must be used in full in that month, but the remaining balance in the bank account is not refunded.
Notice
Refrain from using it for purposes not directly related to career exploration and job search activities.
Transferring and using youth allowance to another account is prohibited.
Hotels, bars, gun sales, casinos, gift certificate sales (including gifticons), jewelry, department stores, duty-free shops, massage parlors, etc. are prohibited from being used for entertainment or speculative purposes.
* The Youth Allowance Card has a clean card function, so payments cannot be made in restricted industries.
Restrictions on use for personal property accumulation: deposits, savings, private insurance and national pension payments, purchase of gift certificates (including gift cones)
Can be used outside of Seoul, but cannot be used for overseas payments
