서울랜드 할인받는 방법 How to get a Seoul Land discount

We are hearing news that there are a lot of people visiting amusement parks after the coronavirus social distancing measures are lifted.

Photos of a crowded indoor theme park with no room to walk were posted on the Internet, claiming that the photos were from three years ago.

There were so many people walking around that I wondered if this was really okay.

However, since it was a sunny day and the temperature was perfect for enjoying an amusement park, my kids actually wanted to go to the amusement park.

Let’s introduce the Seoul Land free pass discount method and amusement facilities that we used!

Aim for weekday afternoons!
Everyone expects that amusement parks are most crowded on weekends and that weekdays are more relaxed, but which weekdays are the best? I worry.

We passed Friday as there may be a lot of customers similar to the weekend, so we boldly chose Monday afternoon.

There were definitely fewer people! However, the most disappointing thing was that there were a few more things that were not in operation due to inspection of the amusement facilities.

How to use the parking lot
There are only two things to remember when parking at Seoul Land!

1. If you want free parking -> Dongmun parking lot

2. If you want to ride the elephant train -> Main gate parking lot (paid)

Since we only went to Seoul Grand Park, we always used the parking lot at the front gate.

So there were a lot of customers and they had to pay for the elephant train.

However, this is a new fact that I learned: “Customers who only use Seoul Land have free parking at the Dongmun parking lot.”

If young children want to ride the elephant train, they will have to use the parking lot at the front gate.

In fact, since there are many amusement facilities within Seoul Land, there is no reason to pay an additional fee to park at the main gate.

We go to the Dongmun parking lot at once!!

(However, there is ample parking on weekdays, but it fills up quickly on weekends.)

How to get a free pass discount
The regular price for Seoul Land is 46,000 won for adults, 43,000 won for teenagers, and 40,000 won for children.

But few people will pay the full price. There are many discount benefits for each credit card company, so if you check, you can use them at a sufficiently discounted price. Seoul Land (seoulland.co.kr)

We are selling Seoul Land discount coupons at the Kids Note Store, which is a notification book used by the institution our child attends.

I purchased it that way (discounted price is the same for both large and small, 17,000 won)

Card discounts have different discount rates for you and one accompanying person, but Kids Note was a little cheaper because it was all the same price.

Play facility information
When you enter through the east gate, the play facilities are closer than the main gate.

The special feature of Seoul Land is that the amusement facilities are close together, so movement lines are minimized!
This is the biggest advantage for customers carrying children or using strollers.

Thinking back to last summer, when I was pushing my husband and two children, each pushing a stroller, up the slopes of the theme park.

Seoul Land had a very low level of difficulty. After coming back, I had the experience of not being able to relieve my cramped legs for more than 3 days…

Each amusement facility is located close by, so you can board one and move right next to it.

I took pictures of some of the rides that my preschool-aged children rode on.

I entered after 3pm on a weekday and the average waiting time was less than 5 minutes.

My favorite amusement facility was “Rapid Water Ride.”

I kept riding it over and over again because I felt a thrill for the first time in an amusement facility that I expected to be scared of.

The adults actually wanted to stop riding so they took turns riding and the children rode more than the adults.

Anyone over 80cm in height can use it, and anyone over 110cm in height can ride alone.

Seoul Land Scenery
As I wandered around Seoul Land, I felt like it had a local feel.

While other theme parks were decorated extravagantly, Seoul Land had symbols showing Korean sensibilities everywhere.

It had the feel of an amusement park in Korea because there were hanok houses, tile-roofed houses, jangseung, and dolhareubang.

Indoor play facilities that can be used regardless of the weather
The “Best Kids” play area next to the fountain was an indoor play facility that could be used regardless of whether it was cold or hot.

It was a system where you could enter on time every hour, and after playing for about 40 minutes, you had a 20-minute break for disinfection and ventilation.

You must wear socks when using all facilities.

They informed me that there was a risk of burns if I injured my ankle or got caught on the slide.

We played until almost closing time, but after 8:20, many shops and stores were closed.

I have a sad feeling that when I grow up just a little bit, I will see the amusement park closing.

These children know how to enjoy themselves year after year. Parents are having a hard time, but children are having fun…

This concludes the review of discount information on Seoul Land amusement facilities and how to use the parking lot.
