Samsung has a more convenient feature than Apple. It’s the pay app. Apple pay has not yet been activated in Korea, but Samsung can use it without difficulty.
The Samsung Pay transportation card can be used with both debit and credit cards. Please note that the Samsung Pay transportation card function is provided by the Samsung Pay app itself, and you cannot receive the card’s transportation card benefits.

If you have difficulty using the Samsung Pay transportation card, we recommend using T-money. In the case of T-money, the balance inquiry method is simple and popular, so anyone can use it easily.
Instant T-money balance inquiry
1. First, launch the samsung folder > samsung pay app from the launchpad (app list). When you launch the app, you can see the Start button on the main screen. This pay app is used by many people as a system that allows you to easily pay without a card online or offline by adding a credit or debit card.
2. You have moved to the Ready page. Click the Add button at the bottom right and prepare a credit or debit card.
3. Please allow photo taking and recording to shoot the card. Select either Allow the app or Allow this time only.
4. Agree to each item to use the service.
5. Authenticate your identity. Since the card user and the name must be the same, it is essential to go through mobile phone real-name authentication.
6 After signing, click the Next button to complete card registration.
Now, when you return to the main screen, you can see that a card has been added to your wallet. There is no limit on the number of items, so you can use it conveniently by registering all the memberships, accounts, and coupons you want to use. Then, we will tell you how to register the Samsung Pay transportation card.
1. After launching the Samsung Pay application, go to the Samsung Pay home page and click the transportation card.
2. If you enter the transportation card menu, you can select the proportion of T-money or cash. After making your selection, you can choose between deferred payment, prepayment, and mobile phone payment. Please note that there is a fee for mobile phone payments.
3. After choosing between postpaid and prepaid, select the card you want. At this time, the card of the selected financial institution must be registered with Samsung Pay. Depending on the financial institution, fees may apply, so please check before selecting the card.
4. After selecting a card, if you authenticate your fingerprint or password to agree to the terms and conditions, a transportation card will be issued.
How to Receive Kakao Pay Remittance Rejection or Cancellation
Since the Samsung Pay transportation card is an NFC-based transportation card, you must set NFC to card mode or basic mode in the phone settings. In the case of basic mode, it is recommended to set card mode because battery consumption is high.
NFC settings can be turned on and off by touching NFC there when the top menu comes down by lowering the top bar. Now, when using public transportation, you can use it by tagging the device.
Since the card is recognized even when the phone screen is turned off, just bring the phone to the transportation card terminal without running the Samsung Pay app. Please note that transportation cards are not recognized when the Samsung Pay app is turned on.
