■ Companies eligible for priority support: 90 days (120 days for multiple births) of wages are paid by employment insurance.
■ Large companies: The first 60 days (75 days for multiple fetuses) are paid by the employer, and the next 30 days (45 days for multiple fetuses) are paid by employment insurance.
* What are companies eligible for priority support?
– Manufacturing workplaces with 500 or fewer employees,
– Mining, construction, transportation, publishing, video, broadcasting, communications and information services, business facility management and business support services, professional, scientific and technological services, health and social welfare services, workplaces with 300 or fewer employees,
– Wholesale and retail businesses, accommodation and restaurants, finance and insurance, arts, sports and leisure-related services, businesses with 200 or fewer employees,
– Other workplaces with less than 100 employees
※ Companies that meet certain requirements among business groups subject to mutual investment restrictions in accordance with the Framework Act on Small and Medium Enterprises and the Monopoly Regulation and Fair Trade Act
■ Pregnant female workers are granted prenatal and postnatal leave (or miscarriage/stillbirth leave) by their employer and use it.
■ Apply within 1 month after the start of maternity leave and within 12 months after the end of the leave.
■ A person whose employment insurance insured unit period is more than 180 days in total before the end of maternity leave.
① The insured unit period prior to the date of job change related to recognition of eligibility is not included.
② Excluding cases where the period from job change to reacquisition exceeds 3 years.
■ Companies eligible for priority support: From 1 month after the start of vacation to within 12 months after the end of vacation (During the vacation period: Applications can be made in 30-day increments)
■ Large companies: From 1 month after 60 days from the start of vacation to within 12 months after the end of vacation.
If you do not apply within 12 months from the end date of maternity leave, you will not be able to receive maternity leave benefits.
※ However, for those who were unable to apply for benefits due to a natural disaster, illness or injury of the applicant, his or her spouse, or his or her immediate descendants or descendants, compulsory service under the Military Service Act, arrest for a crime, or execution of a sentence, 30 days after the end of the reason. ⑤ A copy of a medical certificate from a medical institution (a medical institution in accordance with the ‘Medical Service Act’) that can prove that you have had a miscarriage or stillbirth (the period of pregnancy must be written; only applicable to miscarriage and stillbirth leave)
■ Workers who wish to receive pre- and post-natal leave benefits must obtain a confirmation of pre- and post-natal leave from their employer and submit it to the employment center in charge of the applicant’s residence or place of business along with the pre- and post-natal leave application form (if application is made after the leave ends, a lump sum application is possible).
■ Online: After the business owner (corporate member) receives the confirmation, the applicant (individual member) submits the benefit application form.
■ Center visit/mail: Submit confirmation and salary application to the employment center
