Differences between private certificates and nationally recognized private certificates
Private certificates are certificates issued by individuals, corporations, or organizations, not by the government. They can be helpful in certifying expertise in a specific field, but their credibility can vary depending on the issuing agency. Even if you receive a private certificate right away, it can be revoked within a few years.
On the other hand, nationally recognized private certificates are certificates certified by the government. They are certificates that have been approved by the government after meeting certain criteria and undergoing national review. Since they have higher social credibility than private certificates, they play an important role in employment and career management.

Which qualification should I obtain?
So! Which qualification would be more helpful?!
The choice of qualification depends on the individual’s goals and career direction. Private qualifications are good for certifying expertise in a specific industry or field. They have the advantage of being able to obtain qualifications quickly.
However, nationally certified private qualifications have higher credibility and social trustworthiness, so they can be more advantageous in employment or promotion.
As of July 31, 2024, there are 54,956 types of private qualifications, and 15,416 institutions managing them. On the other hand, nationally certified private qualifications are difficult to register, so there are only 96, which is significantly less than private qualifications. There are only 59 institutions.
Just looking at these numbers, you can see that nationally certified private qualifications are subject to relatively strict standards. I think it would be more helpful to obtain a credible nationally certified qualification rather than obtaining a qualification that could disappear in a few years when applying for a job. It is better to obtain a national qualification or national technical qualification!
However, if the qualification required for the job you want to do is a private qualification, you should obtain it. It is important to choose a qualification that fits your goals by considering both credibility and practicality.

To check the reliability of the issuing agency, it is important to check whether the agency is registered with the government. To do this, you can check the agency information in the private qualification information service or check the certification status on the agency’s website. In particular, the certification status of the national agency is a key factor in ensuring the credibility of the qualification.
